Delena Meyer
Relationship Manager
“Real care - community care - is not just about policy or best practices—it’s about how we treat each other. And when we prioritize that, real change happens.”
Delena Meyer
“We carry so much more inside us than people realize. It’s our duty to each other to try to see those layers. To be seen - really seen and accepted - is to be loved.”
Delena Meyer joined Kaleidoscope Rx as Relationship Manager, bringing with her a deep commitment to trauma-informed communication, equity, and meaningful engagement. With over two decades of experience in public health, prevention, and human services, Delena understands that effective communication isn’t just about delivering information—it’s about fostering genuine relationships that inspire trust, action, and change.
“It’s our capacity to accept and protect our shared humanity that heals us.”
Before joining Kaleidoscope Rx, Delena founded and led Deviant Compassion Consulting, a firm dedicated to helping organizations integrate trauma-informed practices, reshape workplace culture, and develop policies that truly support the people they serve. Through Deviant Compassion, she worked with leaders across sectors to create environments where engagement was a relational practice, not just a strategic tool. Her approach centered on the belief that people don’t care about being informed until they feel genuinely engaged.
Delena’s journey into this work was shaped by her unwavering commitment to ensuring that helping doesn’t hurt. She spent years blending research on social determinants of health, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and trauma-informed approaches with humor, vulnerability, and a focus on cultural humility. She has seen firsthand how toxic work environments and ineffective leadership can erode trust, and she has dedicated her career to fostering brave spaces where people feel safe, valued, and empowered.
Now at Kaleidoscope Rx, Delena brings this same passion and expertise to her role as Relationship Manager, ensuring that connection and collaboration remain at the heart of the practice. She is particularly focused on strengthening relationships between clinicians, patients, and the broader community.
“Engagement isn’t just a strategy; it’s a relationship,” she says. “When we build trust and lead with compassion, everything else falls into place.”
Delena is proud to be part of Kaleidoscope Rx’s mission to provide kind, equitable, and human-centered psychiatric care. She sees her role as an opportunity to continue the work she started a decade ago — making sure helping doesn’t hurt.
Delena’s Kaleidoscope
“My kaleidoscope would be a flowing cacophony of deep teal, fiery oranges, and those impossible purples that only show up when the sky and sea are conspiring at dusk. There would be dragonflies darting through shifting mosaics of golden light and silver-threaded waves, their wings catching the sun in a way that makes you believe in magic. The night sky would swirl in, vast and humbling, reminding me that I am beautifully, wonderfully small—just a note in the song of something so much bigger. And, of course, there’d be music woven through it all, holding all the colors together.”
