Heidi Clark
Billing Specialist
"What I actually love is making order out of chaos. Puzzling out a problem gives me immense satisfaction, especially knowing I'm supporting an industry that helps people navigate the unseen struggles of humanity."
Heidi Clark
Heidi grew up assuming she'd follow her father, a clinical psychologist, into the field. Her career took a different path when her father asked her to help with his billing, despite her having zero experience. He had a feeling she'd be good at it. He was right – what started as a side job to cover college expenses became a career that's given her the flexibility to work from home while raising her four boys.
After several years in optometry billing, Heidi felt the pull back to mental health. Kaleidoscope Rx was the only practice she interviewed with that didn't feel like a transaction – the energy of the staff and owners told her right away this was where she belonged.
Heidi knows that when a patient needs to talk to her, it's usually because something isn't going smoothly. She's there to change that: listening, puzzling out the sticky insurance issue, explaining the "why" behind it all, and clearing the path so patients can focus on what actually matters.
"Finances and insurance are topics with a universal ability to invoke stress and anxiety. I've been there, and I'm on your side. We will figure this out."
Heidi comes from a sprawling, "his, hers, and ours" family – a beautiful mess of diversity that taught her early on that love isn't just about biology, it's about choosing to show up for one another. She's the mother of four boys, ages 9 to 18, and credits being a "boy mom" with sharpening both her easygoing nature and the sense of humor that carries her through the day.
Heidi has always loved math, drawn to its defined steps leading toward a single, certain answer, and she once hoped wellbeing might work the same way – a goal you could reach and call "complete." Age and experience taught her otherwise: life isn't an equation to be solved. These days, her own sense of wellbeing comes less from chasing a finish line and more from gathering peace where she can find it – time in nature, moving her body, laughter, and connection.
Heidi's Kaleidoscope
"If you looked through my inner kaleidoscope, you'd see a balance of gravity and light. It starts with the grounding pulse of the earth – rich grays and browns contrasted by vibrant greens and flashes of color that change with the light of life. Within that landscape burst kinetic sparks of connection: the electricity of a new idea, the weight of an emotion, and the threads that tie people together. It is a puzzle in motion, where the 'unseen struggles' of humanity are met by a deliberate hand creating order out of chaos. It isn't a perfect, still image; it is a dance of diverse colors finding their alignment, proving there is deep beauty in the way we all fit together."
