Sterling Rosewood

Receptionist

"Grief helps us heal. We need time, space, and human connection to safely grieve what we need to grieve."

"Having people who affirm our inherent value lets us grow and heal—even in the face of life's darkest moments."

Sterling Moser’s professional path has been guided by a deep commitment to supporting others. With experience spanning food service, warehousing, health, and nonprofit education, Sterling brings a unique perspective to their role as a receptionist at Kaleidoscope Rx (previously Spectrum Mental Health).

Like many people working in the field, Sterling has personal experience supporting a loved one through severe mental health challenges. That first-hand exposure brought painful but poignant awareness of the tenacity and resilience required for someone to navigate their own experiences while trying to access help. As an intentional and intuitive “helper,” Sterling’s lived experiences naturally led him to seek professional opportunities where he could provide meaningful assistance to others. The mental health field was calling.

Sterling discovered Kaleidoscope Rx while job-seeking. The job posting emphasized a culture of inclusivity and the practice’s staunch support for LGBTQIA+ and transgender people - a dedication to social safety that deeply resonated with him. His initial encounters with staff also conveyed a genuine sense of personality and openness—a refreshing contrast to the many roles and workplaces he had encountered during his job search. Sterling found a unified purpose and “home” in being part of a team that shared his professional style and core values.

Sterling believes healing starts with the courage to feel deeply and grieve fully—supported by connection and affirmation. He sees his role as one of many tiny but vital pieces in a larger system of care, helping people feel seen, welcomed, and valued from the moment they walk through the door.

Sterling’s Kaleidoscope:

“ALL THE COLORS! I’m most fond of yellow, but I love the different contrasts and palettes that are made possible by the full color spectrum. I’m a big space nerd, so there'd have to be lots of stars and nebulae, planets of all types and sizes, etc. All things in space are beautiful because they remind me of the greater cosmos, of how big the universe is beyond myself and my singular world here on Earth.”
